What the app stores

The app keeps, in its own database, the access token Shopify issues for your store and the connection keys created when you link the store from the Hopsworks command line. It stores no customer data, no order data and no product data.

What is read from your store

With your approval at install, orders, customers and products are read by scheduled jobs in your own Hopsworks project to compute decisions such as whether a customer is likely to order again. Those jobs run in your Hopsworks project, under your account. The app itself never reads them.

What is written to your store

Decisions are written as metafields on the entities they describe (for example a customer), under the hopsworks namespace, plus one shop metafield per decision with its summary. They stay in your store and are yours to delete.

Data requests and deletion

The app answers Shopify's privacy webhooks. A shop redaction deletes the store's token and connection keys. Customer data requests and redactions receive an acknowledgement, since the app holds no customer data; the decisions in your store are removed by Shopify together with the customer. Data in your Hopsworks project is under your control there.

Sharing

The app shares nothing with third parties. It has no analytics and sets no tracking cookies.
